With your permission, we will actively liaise with your child’s doctor and school in order to make certain that everyone is supporting positive change for your child. Using only treatments that have been researched and found to work, we implement treatment plans that are practical, positive and tailored especially for your particular child and family.

We treat the following childhood difficulties:

  • Problems with attention and concentration
  • Depression or mood difficulties
  • Low self-esteem / low self-confidence
  • Bullying
  • Behavioural problems including oppositionality
  • Anxiety (including separation anxiety and OCD)
  • Coping with divorce or other family problems including loss

We also provide assessment for children and adolescents who need IQ testing, may have a learning problem and/or may be gifted. We provide thorough ADHD assessments (involving input from parents, teachers and medical doctors) when ADHD is suspected and school readiness assessments when there is a question regarding your child’s readiness for school.

Adolescent Psychology Services

Working with teenagers is not something that every psychologist can do. We have put together a team of psychologists who not only have experience in working with young people through this tricky stage of life, but also only those who love it. You will want your teen to see someone who is keen to work with them and is good at it. We offer assessment, diagnostic and treatment services for your adolescent that will capitalise on his/her strengths and interests.

We treat the following adolescent difficulties:

  • Anxiety (including HSC stress and procrastination)
  • Adolescent behavioural problems including conduct fisorder
  • Teenage depression (including self-harming)
  • Bullying
  • Low self-esteem / Low self-confidence
  • Relationship problems with family members
  • Coping with divorce or other family problems including loss
  • Problems with attention and concentration

We also provide testing for adolescents when needed. Sometimes parents have a query regarding their IQ, possible learning problems or if the teen is gifted. We provide thorough ADHD assessments (involving input from parents, teachers and medical doctors) when ADHD is suspected.

Skype or Telephone Therapy

For those who do not live near Sydney yet need a child psychologist, we offer therapy through both telephone or Skype. There is a protocol we follow to help make certain this is the best form of therapy for you and to insure confidentiality. We particularly tend to help those who are homebound or live too far from our practices. We have worked with Australians in rural areas, ex-patriots living overseas and others who wish to access our services specifically.
